A match was arranged to come off last Saturday between the first fifteen backs and second forwards, and second hicks and first forwards of the lied Star Club, but owing to the attraction provided by the English team in Wellington the match foil through. Hoar, T, Thompson. 2nd Forwards—Martin, Percy, McKenzie, Mawhinay, Morris, Holford, Campbell, Ewington, H. Welch. 2nd Back-Grantham, Bannister, Hill, E, Welch, Baillie, Hawke, Ist Forwards—Ennnett, Wilsone, Iggulden, Thomas, Walter Welch, Taiaroa, Al. Hoar, C, Ewington, 0. Percy, All Club members requested to roll up as emergencies will he taken on from the field, The teams to represent the Club on the Queen's Birthday will be selected on Saturday evening, making it imperative that all picked men for Saturday's game should put in an appearance to ensure a place in either team.

The following team will represent the Masterton jf.C. in the match with Carterton ou Saturday, on the ground of the former, Worksop road : Wallace (fullback), 0. Perry, 0. H, Smith, B. Thompson (threecjuarters), J. and fl. Perry (halves), C, and J, Bannister, I'liennells, Cqjj, W, Day, JJounslow, Pelling, G. and W. Welch, forwards, Emergencies, Holmwood, Erskiiifi, F, Perry, O'Connor. Jflay will commence at three o'clock sharp. Wo understand a small charge will be made at the gate, to go towards the ground fund. '
