Wo make the following extract from a Home paperMr F. J. Clarke, •'s&, of Lincoln, died at Bournemouth tra other day, alter a long illness affecting the heart and lungs, at the age of forty-six. Mr Olark'e commenced business as a chomist, when only nineteen, and after lie had saved a moderate fortune, risked it all in advertising his "Blood Mixture." 11l one year ho spent £15,000, but in another twelve months ho had about made his account straight. From that time success was assured, although he continued to spend twenty thousand pounds a year in advertising. Mr Clarke brought Bracebridge Hall, near Lincoln, and was four times Mayor of the city.
