T. Owen, Makiririki, Dear Sir.—l have much pleasure in announcing to you the success of your Patent Isevv Zealand sheep Dip. I dipped 430 lambs badly infected with lun» worm. Previous to dipping they used to die three and four every day, and sinco I dipped three died in six weeks. I examined the three and found the lung worm dead. They are now recovering very fast. If I had not dipped, fifty more at least would have died, and Ido riot know when they would have stopped. Yours truly AUGUSTIN GEORGETTI. Memorandum from ALEX. MONRO, : Sheep, Cattle, and Babbit Inspector, and Registrar of-Brands, Wanganui;
17th December, 1887. To Mb Wm Thos. Owen, Makirikin. :ln reply to your letter asking for my opinion as to the result of the dipping of Messrs Davey and Co.'s sheep in your patent Now Zealand Dip, I have much pleasure in testifying to tho satisfactory result of the dipping. 1 inspected the sheep previous to the dipping and found thorn badly infected with lice and ticks; arid 1 again inspected them about a week after they wore dipped, and found no sigus of either lice or ticks, 'l'he wool at the same time felt soft and seemed in no way injured. In my opinion your dip is one of the cheapest and best yet offered to-farmers, and ought to do much to clear their flocks from lice and ticks. : _ ALEX. MONRO. Sold in tinfl sufficient to make 400 gallons of Dip, 17s 6d; and cases containing six tins, or sufficient for 2,400 pillion sat £5 per case.
