FOOTBALL.
The following are the teams selected to play in the match Town v, Country on the Masterton Club's ground oil Saturday afternoon iiext:-Town— Erskine, Smith, 0. Perry, Dyer, Pownall, 11. Perry, R, Thompson, P. Felling, O'Uoroior, Cox, Wallace, W. McKeime, Kibblewhite, Bacon, T. Dixon, E. Welch, Oolemau, Rowe, Rathbone, Eton, Chennells, Houuslow, T. Wagg, Bakewell, Mclvor, Country—F. Perry, J. Perry, Homewood, J. Bannister, C. Bannister, W. Day, P. Day, W.E.Welch, Ct. Welch, A, Welch, W, Welch, W. Wardell, V. Wardell, H. Williams, C. Young, Whatman (2), J. McKenzie, Bill McKenzie, Hoffiens, Stewart, H. Holmes, Bodmin, M. Meredith. The match will start at 3 o'clock, and any member who has been omitted from the list will be allowed to take part in the game.
The Red Stars first fifteen plays a team of twenty-five on the Club's ground on Saturday, at 3.30 p.m. The Secretary asks us to mention that the ball is kept at Messsrs Townsend and Cowper's, whence members can obtain it at any time for practice. A match between the second fifteens of the Masterton Football Club and the Rival Football Chib (Carterton) will probably be played the Saturday after next.
It is understood that the Red Star Football Club at their meeting last night passed a resolution having as its object the encouragement of more amicable relations with tho Masterton Football Cllub in future.
