[By Telegraph,] Wellington, Saturday; William J. McCavanah for embezzlement was sentenced, to one year's hard labor. With the exception of the case against Philip Wilberforce, now beiug tried, the remaining cases are private prosecutions, and have been adjourned till 2nd May. Chief Justice Prendergast leaves for Wanganui and-- Judge Richmond for Nelson.
