I During the year just closed, tho negotiations for the transfer to the Trustees of 10 acres adjoining the Park, as compensation for the loss of part of acres G9 and 70, havo been completed, and tho transfer made. A portion of Town aero 24 (30ft by 330) has been givon to the Borough Council for widening Rcnall-stroet free of any compensation. The Balance Sheet will show that the sum of £6O has been paid out of tho revenues of the School Picnic Fund, £3O of which was for a picnic, and £2O for prizes, Since the Trust Acres were transferred to the people in 1871, no less than 8 Bills havo been introduced into Parliament, dealing with tho Management. It is, therefore, much to be desired that a Consolidation Bill should bo introduced for the consideration of the legislature as early as possible. After the close of this meeting, you will be invited to discuss tho appointmont of a committee to consider, with the Trustees, the provisions of the new Bill. You will to-night be asked to elect two auditors for the ensuing year, in place of Messrs Sellar and lorns, who retire, but are eligible for re-election. The annual election of two Trustees will take place on THURSDAY, April 2(ith, 1888, in the Council Chambers. Messrs Feist and Parsons aro the retiring Trustees. EDWIN FEIST, Chairman.
