A very successful meeting of the
Plicenix Lodge of Good Templars was held abthe Temperance Hall last eveningjlhe W.O.T. (Bro. Bartlott) being in the chair. There was a large attendance of members, and after the Lodge bad been opened, two members, who had lately arrived in the Colony,
banded in their clearance cards, and were duly received into membership; also, two candidates were initiated. The election of officers then took place, when Bro. Everndcn was elected W.0.T.. Sister Warner V.C.T., Bro. Carpenter Treasurer, Bro. Stone Chaplain, Bro Johnson Marshall, and Bro. Smith Outside Guard. It was decided that an open Lodge Meeting should be held on the fourth Monday in each month, aud that the public should be invited to attend.
