The Irish Question. Dublin, April 4. A large number ol the poorer classes in Galway are in danger of starvation, and in order to alleviate the distress, provisions are being sent there from all parts of the country. London, April 4. The police authorities have issued instructions to disperse all the proclaimed meetings announced to be held hi Ireland on Sunday. It is feared that serious disturbances may arise, and the police will probably be re-inforced. General, . London, April 3. Sir F,. Dillon Bell, Agent-General for New Zealand, has expressed a desire to retire from that position in! October next,

Miutaiy manoeuvres during the Easter holidays were of an extensive character, Fourteen thousand volunteers and regulars attacked Dover, and secured a victory. They were assisted by machine guns, and the cycling corps did good service. In the naval attack off Portsmouth, the attacking party caused the defenders to abandon their position.
