Mauriceville Road Board.
The ordinary meeting of the Mauriceville Road Board was held on the 31st day of March, 1888. Present :- William Jessen, (chairman), Charles Forsberg, John Bannister, Hugh W.Jackson, and Gimder- Gunderson. The minutes ot the last meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence outwards was read. Correspondence inwards. The following tenders werel received for contract No 21: F, J. Heckler & Co £BB 10s [accepted]; J, Dawson £129. From Bank of New South Wales re account. From John Youngson re progress payment Mfc&jintracfc No 20. From M'DonaWand Westbrook re carting metal. Irom Treasury re deferred payment thirds. From Commissioner Property Tax re subsidy. From Arthur Rawson re Brandon's road. From Survey Department re Dorset's road. From Waste Land Boards approving of erection of bridge giving access to Salter's section. From Audit Office re balance sheet. From Property Tax Department advising payment of £24 8s lOd subsidy. From same re payment of £5912s lOd rates on Crown Lands. From . Treasury requesting a statement of loans and bank overdraft. From County Council re services of engineer etc. From Masterton Road Board re Jackson's road. Resolved to repair the approach to Jackson's road, and to accept the offer of McDonald and Westbrook to cart metal for same. Resolved to purchase {aero gravel re- . serve from John Campbell, Dryer's Rock Road, for the sum of £i£s/z. <K solved that the Chairman intfPßcw 1/ the .County Council re overcharges. The Treasurer reported a credit balance ' of £lO9 lis 4d, Accounts amounting to £202 10s 6d were passed for payment. Messrs Gunderson and Bannister were appointed to sign, deques. The Board then adjourned,
