The twelfth competition for the ! Sergeants' Trophy was fired at the Masterton range on Saturday last, ami resulted in Servant Kibi'lewhiteheadin;,' the list. Tnis is his first win, and the trophy has to lie won three times in succession or four times at intervals Tho poor attendance ot competitors may be accounted for by the harvest being on. xhe next competition for the ssnie prize will bo probably fired off on Saturday, 13th inst., owing to the men having to leave for the Oamafu ItibV Meeting. The following are the scores, the ranges being respectively 200. 300, and 500 yards Kibilewhitfi, 20, 18, 16-54; Vol C. Bentlev, 20, 16, 16-52; Vol. G. Blunt-. 20, IS, 11—49; Vol. W. A. Wilton. 22. 11, U-47; Vol. C. lichens, 17,19,13-49.
