The New Zealander Twine Binder. IN asking our friends to buy from New Zealand makers.we would point out a few of td benefits which would accrue through so doing, Duplicates would be easily got anj. generally cheaper; and from the facilities at our disposal—viz., oar branches in differen parts of New Zealand -we can supply any parts of machines from any of these branches at an hour's notice; other makers may, ami do claim to be able to do this, but farmer's find to tlieir cost, and our experience bears them out, that IT CANNOT BE DONG WITH IMPORTED MACHINISS. We have known of casis where farmers with a broken-down imported Binder have had to wait a week during the busiest pirt of harvest time before they got supplied. M such been a machine of our make, it would havo been at work wifhin a few hours. All parts of machines are numbered and accurately duplicated, and we challenge comparison with the best imported in that respect; and while asking farmers to purchase our Binder, we may state that it is now generally recognised that our machine is at least as good as the best imported, and MUC H SUPEIUOR to many of them in evory requisite of a sorviceablo Binder. We append a few of the many testimonials received for onr Binder; but th*. best testimonial is the fact that last year no less than 43 were sold in one district alone. ' Te Rore West, \\ aipa, August 11,1887. The Reaper anil Binder I bought from you last harvest mado very good work on all sorts of ground. I cut some very steep sidlings, the Binder sliding a foot at once, and at the samo time cutting and binding a vory neat sheaf. Isaac Hodgson. Centre Bush, March 27,1556. Tho Reaper and Binder 1 purchased from you this season has given me entire satisfaction, I cut and tied 140 acres in 11 days, making a really good job. She tied well and lelt a good clean stubble, although some of the crop was vory light and other parts of it were pood. I consider your Binder quite equal to any of tho imported machines, and much lighter of draught than some that were working in the same paddock with me. I several times worked tlio same three horses the whole of the day, although I had a spare team beside me. I had no stoppage from time of starting till I finished, and lam thoroughly satisfied that I have a leally good and serviceable machine, and one that will last mo a good many seasons Alexander Shand. LOWES & lOENSt LOCAL AGENTS. BROOKE'S PERFECT SHEEP DIP. Prepared in accordance with the latest advancements in chemistry as applied to the Woollen Manufac' turinj! Industry. It is a decided improvement on the old-fashioned dips, and only requires a trial to prove its superiority. At the late Sheep Dipping Competition, conducted by the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association, f"r Wool Dyeing and general manufacturing purposes, the FIRST PIjA.CE was awarded to BROOKE'S PERFECT SflliEP DIP, in fact, Brooke's Dip was the only one that actually improved the Wool in tlrs imporrant respect, the undipped wool being second, whilst McDougall's and Little's were at the bofctom,in consequence of lcaviug tho wool a dirty white. Tho Association also pronounced Brook's Periect Sheep Dip to bo superior to the Zealandia, Little's, Hatch's, Cooper's and McDougall's, and also to leave the wool in better condition than Thomas's Dip. BROOKE'S DIP having consequently been proved to be better than the English Dips, your practical support of the Colonial article is respectfully solicited. To ensure Brook's Dip being more thoroughly lasting in its good effects, it will in future be sent out 20 per cent stronger, free of any extra charge, Proportions for use'-One gallon of Dip to 100 gallons of water. Mixes readily with cold water, and does not require stirring while Dipping. Guaranteed not to contain Lime, Soda, or Sulpher. Remarkably emollient, leaving the wool in perfect condition, without the slightest strain from the first day of Dipping. The Wool is also easier after using Brooke's Dip, than it is with any other, owing to tho extra amount of tho best soft soap it contains. It is perfectly safe, its action depending on the best refined Carbolic Acid, assisted by a sufficient amount of Arsenic. Concentrated in composition to reduce tho cost of carriage, and put up in a portable haudy form for use, it is also one of the cheapest Dips in the mai ket.
