On Sunday night the fire reached tho body of Doran where it was left on the hill and burned it very badly, It was 111-ought into totvn yesterday and a pom mortem examination by Dr Williams revealed disease of the heai'l Rtillicient to account fur the sudden dea'li; verdict accordingly. No blame was attached to the party who left the body on the trig station. The sad allair has cast quite a gloom over the district. Nooim> was more respected than the deceased,

Price of Stock, Greymouth, February 6. At the cattle sale to-day there were 80 head of bullocks shown. McGregor's lot from Wanganui fetohed from £Bl7s 6d to £9los; Fox and O'Neill's Wanganui stock averaged £9 15s each. All round beef is quoted at 21s to 22s 6d. The sheep market was glutted, and a large number were unsold. Prices rule from 9s to 10s; lambs also were a glut at 4s 9d to 9s. The Wallabi lost 15 bullocks on her trip, through the rough weather. ■
