Hutt Racecourse, February 4. There was again lovely weather for the second day's Wellington Racing Club's Summer Meeting. The attend-ance-was not large, about six hundred being present, The following are the results:—

Local Handicap of 50 sovs, second horse 10 sovs; oue mile and a quarter.

These were the only starters. The winner finished a couple of lengths in front, Beresford was a poor third. Timeßminlo sees. Dividends—£4 7s and M 10s.

A protest was entered by Mr Tancred, the owner of Spear, on the ground that Fabrication had jammed his horse against the rails on the opposite side of the course. Evidence having been taken, the Stewards decided to disqualify Fabrication, and award the stakes to Spear, who ran second. Dividends—£2lss and £3 4s.
