Opening Up of Lands,
Wellington, February 3. A supplementary gazetto issued today contains a notification under the hand of the Minister of Lands, declaring that rural lands enumerated in sohedule, and being portions of blocks in eaoli provincial distriot of the colony are open for sale or selection, after forty days from the publication of the notice, under the third section and act amendment, 1887, Schedule of Lands. It covers twenty-two pages of the Gazette.
Mail Steamer Arrives. Wellington, February 3. The General Post Office advises that the Mariposa from Frisco was signalled off Tiri at eleven o'clock this morning.
