Out of Season.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir. —I am' not much of a shooter, but at the same time. I have respect for the game laws, and like to see them observed. I therefore bring under notice the fact that wild ducks are being shot out of season, by some persons calling themselves sportsmen, and who prowl about in the locality of the Masterton Railway station. They even fire at the brood ducks as they swim about with thfiir young ones in the creek there. I hope the police or those who are responsible for the law being kept in this respect, will at once take steps, if not to punish the perpetrators, to at least prevent a (recurrence of this most objectionable, proceeding. I am ic., "Jones."
