Serious Accident.

Mr Walter Morrison Injured. Shortly before five o'clock on Friday afternoon, a serious accident occurred to Mr Walter Morrison, who was engaged driving a reaper and binder on Mr Carman's farm, Mania. From what we can learn it appears Mr Morrison was riding on the seat of the machine, when it suddenly collapsed, through the bolt which holds giving way, causing the driveij|r fall on another bolt that was projecting. Mr Morrison as speedily as possible - f) extricated himself from this dangerous 4* position, but owing to the excessively pain he was suffering iu the lower portion of his body he went off into a faint. On recovering he walked to Mr Carman's residence which is about a mile away, and having obtained a horse rode as far as Mr Kibblewhite's Star Hotel. That gentleman immediately sent for medical aid, and in the meantime both Mr and Mrs Kibblewhite did all in their power to relieve the sufferer. After a short interval, Dr. Beard arrived, and upon examination, intimated that Mr Morrison had received a severe rupture in the locality of the bladder, and at the doctor's suggestion, he was at once removed to the Hospital. This morning Drs. Hosking and Milne attended the patient, with the intention of performing an operation, but ' as the sufferer shewed signsißcoiisiderable improvement, it was thought prudent to let the operation stand over.
