I, Pasteur and the Rabbits. Paris, January 24. M. Pasteur has decided to send two of his assistants to Australia, to conduct the experiments for the extermination of the rabbits, and he intimates that he will bo a competitor for the valuable reward offered by the New South Wales Government for the most effective means of extermination. Melbourne, January 20. Mr Back, the head of the Rabbit Department, is of opinion that the chicken cholera, proposed to be introduced by M. Pasteur, for the extermination of rabbits, will , prove dangerous to other animals, and also to birds. He recommends that experts should be sent to Paris to consult with M. Pasteur.
