Sir Morell Mackenzie is about to visit San Remo for the purpose of removing a piece of dead cartilage from the throat of the Crown Prince of Germany, Russian War Preparations. St Petersburg, January 23. All goods traffic has been suspended on the railways of Southern Russia, as all available rolling stock is required for the conveyance of troops aud stores. The heavy snow, which is now lying in Galicia has stopped the movement of the troops in that quarter. Russia Fails to Raise the Wind, St Petersburg, January 23. Russia has failed to raise a loan in Vienna and Berlin. Another Frontier Squabble. PARis,,January 23. A telegram has been received from Nancy, a town in the department of Meurtheet-Moselle, stating that a French gamekeeper, while shooting boars on the frontier, was assaulted by a German Exciseman, who seized his rifle.
Lord Randolph ChuroliUl Interviewed. Berlin, January 23. Lord Randolph Churchill, at present on a visit to this city, denies that his recent visit to Russia was of an official nature, but says he was merely travelling in a private capacity. He states that lie observed very few warlike symptoms in his tour through Russia.
