JLN intention of the Board, with the consent of the ratepayers interested, to apply for a LOAN, under the "Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886," for formation, bridges, and metalling on the Mangaone Valley, Hawera, and Tawataia Roads. ■ The amount proposed to be borrowed i 3 £2,100, to be expended as follows: — Formation, L 680; Bridges, and Culverts, L 880; motalling, £500; contingencies, L4O. To meet tho interest and annual charges on the amount borrowed, the Board give notice that at a meeting of tho Board to be held on the 4th day of February, 1888, it is proposed to levy, by Bpecial order, a special rate as follows : A rate of 4d in the £ on the rateable valuo of the following propeties: Sections 8,9,10, It. 12,13, 18, 16,17,18,20,21,22,23,20, SW, 34, Block III; Sections 12,14, 15,10, 33, 34, Block VI; Sections 1, 2,3,4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 14,17; 20,23, 24, 25, 26, 32, 36,37,39, Block VII, nil in tho Mangaone Survey District. The said rate is an annually; recurring one for 26 years. , The rate book is now open for inspection at this office. It is proposed that the cost of raising the Loan and the first year's interest thoreon, shall come out of Loan.
