The Wellington and Manawatu Railway Co's. Land Sale.
Messrs T. Konnedy Maodonald and Co.'s fourth sale of the "WellingtonManawatu Railway Company's lands, ■which slt placo last Friday afternoon, \wfrattetided by about GOO persons, including visitors from Nelson, Canterbury, and the West Coast of the South Island, in addition to investors from the.city and country districts. .In addressing the assemblage, Mr Macdonaldsaid he had not heard of a single instance of dissatisfaction or regret on the part of purchasers at the Company's previous sales, The catalogue was then gone through, and all the bush agricultural sections were quitted at .prices ranging from &i 5s to £1 per aero. The pastoral sections attracted less attention than had been anticipated, owing, probably, to tho fact that the Company has not yet had time to form the. roads to them. This work, however, is now in progress. Appended are the detailed results of the sale:— . s};sh Agricultural Lands, Otaki, y. block in,—Kaitawa. No, A. n, p. Purchaser £ s, d, 12 : Gl 121 P.
