The exact locality of the elopement case reported in our Saturday's issue is seven miles from Maryborough, and the husband is a man who is much respected in the district and for whom great sympathy is felt. A crowded house greeted the Rob % Dramatic Company at the Theatre Royal last evening, many no doubt embracing the opportunity to witness this play to finish up the holiday. As wsftb' have been anticipated the audieneo was rather noisy, and. the long wait beforo the curtain rose did not improve mattcia in this respect. Tho best was made of the scenery available, and. taken altogether the piece went fairly smooth. The principal part Rob Roy, was undertaken by -Mr J. 0. Walch, who put a good deal of spirit into it. Baillie Kicol Jarvio was played by Mr D. Stewart who put considerable life into the piece and kept the audience in good humor with his quaint sayings, and " Ma conscience" will bo the watchword of all the small boys of tho town for some time to come. Mr J. Flicker as Francis Osbaldistone, ac:ed his part well and was loudly applauded for a couple of songs; but Mr E. 0. I'ope as Rashleigu Osbaldistone was quite out of place, as there was nothing in his acting and it was quite.impossible to understand a word he uttered. The dual part of Helen Me Gres;or and Diana Vernon by Miss Delamere would have gone better with a little more life and vigor, The other parts wero fairly tilled, bijt pressure on our space prevents a more extended nnlico. Tljo company play Rob Roy again this evening,
