WOOL SALES.

Melbourne, December 19. Messrs Dalgety and Co, Limited, held their usual weekly sale to-day. There was a large attendance of buyers and competition was extremely animated, the idemand being brisk for all idescriptions; 1160 bales were offered, of which 1050 were sold at satisfactory prices, the market showing a further slight improvement. Good greasy merino realised 9Jd per lb; medium to good 7Jd to 9d; inferior to medium 6d to 7d; superior crossbreds, lOd; medium to good 8d to 9sd; coarse, 6sd to 7d; scoured, 15f d; and washed, 18|d.
