ARRIVAL OF THE DORIC.
Port Chalmehs, December 20,
The Doric arrived at 9.40 p.m. last night from Plymouth, via Teneriffe, Capetown, and Hobart, after a passage of 42 days. 11 hours, and 22 minutes from Plymouth, including 22 hours stoppages at ports. She brings out 23 saloon passengers, 20 second saloon, and 71 steerage for New Zealand, having landed 96 passengers" at the ports of call during the voyage. The general health has been good, and neither births or deaths are to be recorded. Her cargo consists in all of 2,360 tons. She left Plymouth at 1.46 p.m. on November sth, and met with a terrific gale across the Bay of Biscay. .She called at Teneriffe on the JOth, and Capetown on the 26th.
