To be run under the rules of the Metropolitan Racing Clubs, except where otherwise named in this programme, No qualification fee. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdles, Flying, L,V,J,O, and Martinborough Handicaps close with the Secretary at Martinborough on Saturday, 19th November, at 9 p,m, Weights declared for Hurdles, Flying, and L.V.J.C. Handicaps on Monday, sth December, at 7 p.m. Acceptances for the same on Saturday, 17th December, at 0 p.m, "Weights for the Martinborough Handicap to be declared on the course after the L.V.J.C, Handicap is over. Acceptances for the same to be made 30 minutes before the raco takes place, Tho saddling bell will ring at 11.30 a.m. The first race will start at 12 noon sharp, • Each race will start punctually at the time appearing on the correct cards of the races, No scratching of horses allowed except through the Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes before the time ot All entries and nominations to be / made in writing, sealed, and addressed to the Secretary, Entrance money to> be enclosed, with, color, sex, name, age, pedigree, and previous performances of the horse, name of tho owner and cdors of the rider. • No entry or acceptance will be accepted without the amount of requisite fees, No nominations, acceptance, or final payments will be taken after time named under any pretext whatever No entry will be received for any of the races excopt upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. In case of a protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary in writing, within fifteer miuutes after the race is run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest is not sustained, The final payment for the L.V.J.C. Handicap to be made on the course an hour before the appointed time of starting for that event. Hack shall mean a horse that has never started for weight for age or handicap races other than hack handicaps or weight for ago hack races, and has not been nominated for at least six months previous to this raoeting, for any handicap or weight , for age races, other than hack races, and is not nominated for Derbys, St; Lcgers, Guineas, or Oaks, and also for handicaps or weight for age races other 'than hack races, Mails close at Featherston for Maitinborough on Mondays and Thursdays at 7 p.m.; Wednesdays and Saturdays at 3.45 p,m. No cutry will be received for any race except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising, shall' be decided by a majority of stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision on all points shall be final. All nominations, entries and acceptances to be made in writing addressed to the Secretary, at the Oddfellows Hal], Featheretou. No nomination or acceptance will be received after the advertised time of closing under any pretence whatever, or unless accompanied by the necessary amounts. The rules of the Wellington Racing Club, where applicable, will be strictly adhered to. Nominations for all handicaps at this meeting will close with the Secretary at the above address on Saturday the 10th December' at 8,30 p.m. Weights will be declared on Saturday, the 17th December. Acceptances for Handiaps will close on Saturday the 24th Doceniber at 8.30 p.m, Entries for Scratch Haclt Race must be uiadc within 30 minutes after the Hack Hurdle Race is ruu, All protests must be' made in writing to the Secretary within tcu minutes after passing the winning post, with a deposit of 2 bovb, which sum wiUoe forfeited if the protest is not sustained. In all nominations for Handicaps, the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, color, sex and previous performance of the horse', name of owner, and colors of rider must be given, The winner of an advertised race of 50 sovs and over, after the declaration of weights to cany 71b extra in the F.R.C. Handicap. Hacks shall mean a. horse which has never started for other than Hack Races j Hack Handicaps'excepted, and is not uow nominated for Derbys, Guiueas, St Legere, Saplings or Oaks.
