The semi-official journal FreindeaJjK blatt in an article published to-day,' declares that diplomatic relations between the Austrian and Eussian Governments are excellent, but [the military situation on the Galician frontier remains unchanged, and demands the utmost vigilanoe on the part of the authorities to prevent Austria being taken by surprise. CRUSHED TO DEATH. JfWHHW, December 16. A youth known here as "Tommy." aged 18 years, was killed at Awakuri yesterday afternoon. He was engaged with a Native carting wood out of the bush, and ii\ assisting to get the cart, out of a rut, was crushod between the cart and a tree. He died about two hours afterwards.
