To be run under the rules of the Metropolis tan Racing Clubs, except where otherwise named in this programme, No qualification fee. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdles, Flying, L.V.J.C. and Martinborough Handicaps eta with tho Secretary at Martinborough on Saturday, 19th November, at 9 p.m. Weights declared for Hurdles, Flying, and L.V.J.C. Handicaps on Monday, oth December, at 7 p.m, Acceptances for the same on Saturday, ■ 17th December, at 9 p,m, "Weights for the Martinborough Handicap to be declared on the course after the L.V.J.C. Handicap is over. Acceptances for the same to be made' 30 minutes before the race takes place, Tho saddling bell will ring at 11.30 a.m. The first race will start at 12 noon sharp, Each race mil start punctually at the time appearing on the correct cards of the races. No scratching of horses allowed except through the Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes before tho time ot starting. All entries and nominations to be made in writing, scaled, and addressed to tho Secretary. Entrance money to be enclosed, with color, sex, name, age, pedigree, and previous performances of the horse, name of the owner and colors of thcridcr. Noentry or acceptance will be accepted without the amount of requisite fees; No nominations, acceptance, or final payments will be taken after time named under any pretext whatever No entry will be received for any of the races except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. No entry will be received for any race except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising, shall he decided by a majority of stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision on all points shaft be final, All nominations,'entries and acceptances to be mado in writing addressed to the Secretary, at the Oddfellows Hall, Featherstou, No nomination or acceptance will be received after the advertised time of closing under any pretence whatever, or uuless accompanied by the necessary amounts, The rules of the Wellington Racing Club, where applicable, will be strictly adhered to, Nominations for all handicaps af this meeting will close with the Secretary at the above address on Saturday the 10th December at 8,30 p.m, Weights will be declared on Saturday, the 17th December. Acceptances for Handiaps will close on Saturday the 24th Docember at 8,30 p.m, Entries for Scratch Hack Race must be made within 30 minutes after the Hack Hurdlo Race is run, All must ho made hi writing to tho Secretary within ten minutes after passing the winning post, with a deposit of 2 bovb, which sum will be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. In all nominations for Handicaps, the name, age at timo of entry, pedigree, color, bcx and previous performance of the horse, namo of owner, and colors of rider must be given. The winner of an advertised race of 00 sovs and over, after the declaration of weights to carry 71b extra in the F.R.O. Handicap. Hacks shall mean a horse which has never started for other than Hack Eaces; Hack Handicaps excepted, and is not now nominated for Derbys, Guineas, St Legers, Saplings or Oaks. Horses walking over will receive DO per cent of the stakes All persons iuteudiug to withdraw horses are rcj quired to give notice in writing to the Secretary half-an-hour before the official time of starting such race, . Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a Sue, to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding £2O, to the race fund. Owners are particularly requested to observe this rule.
