WOOL SALES, London, December 10; The [November-December series io wool auctions closed to-day with! a good demand for most descriptions, characterised by much firmness. The total quantity sold during tho series, including that forwarded direct to the manufacturing districts, amounts to 160,000 bales; 11,090 bales have been held over for next sales, Greasy wools generally close at about the same rates' as last sales, but Port Phillip and Sydney greasy show an advance of one halfpenny, Scoured wools rule onehalfpenny higher, while crossbreds close on a par with previous sales.

At the Police Court Captain Drew, master of the Awarua was fined £SO for having 176 seal skins in his possession, during the close season, in default 8 months' imprisonment, Fox, the niate, for the same offence was fined £lO or one month.
