7. MAimmioitouGH Handicap of 20 sovs; 1 niilo. Nominations 10s, acceptances 10b, RULES AND REGULATIONS. To be run under the rules of the Metropolitan Racing Clubs, except whero otherwise named in this programme. No qualification fee. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdles, Flying, L.V.J.C. andllartinborough Handicaps close with the Secretary at Martinborough on Saturday, 10th November, at 0 p.m. Weights declared for Hurdles, Flying, and L.V.J.C. Handicaps on Monday, sth December, at 7 p.m. Acceptances for the same on Saturday, 17th December, at 9 p.m. /Weights for the Martinborough Handicap to be declared on tho course after the L.V.J.C, Handicap is over. Acceptances for the same to be made 30 minutes before the race takes place. Tho saddling bell will ring at 11,30 a.m. The first race will start at 12 noon sharp.' Each race will start punctually at the timo appearing on the correct cards of tho races, .No scratching of horses allowed except through the Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes before the time ot starting. All entries and nominations to bo made in writing, scaled, and addressed to the Secretary. Entrance money to be enclosed, ith color, sex, name, age, pedigree, and previous performances of tho horse, name of the owner and ct lors of the rider. No entry or acceptance will he accepted without the amount of requisite fees. No nominations, acceptance, or final payments will bo taken after time named under any pretext whatever No entry will be received for any of the races except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of tho races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or thoso whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. 11l case of a protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary in writing, within fiftecr minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited if tho protest is not sustained. The final payment for the L.V.J.C, Handicap to be made on the course an hour before the appointed time of starting for that event, Hack shall mean a horso that has never started for weight for ago or haudicap races other than hack handicaps or weight for age hack races, and has not been nominated for at least six months previous to this meeting, for any handicap or weight for age races, other than hack races, and is not nominated for Derby's, St. Legem, Guineas, or Oaks, and also for handicaps or weight for age races other than hack races. No entry will bo received for any race except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising, shall be decided by a majority of stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision on all points shall be final, All nominations, entries and acceptances to be made in writing addressed to the Secretary, at the Oddfellows Hal], Featherston, No nomination or acceptance will bo received after the advertised time of closing under any pretence whatever, or unless accompanied by the necessary amounts. The rules of tho Wellington Racing Club, where applicable, will be strictly adhered to. Nominations for all handicaps af this mooting will close with tho Secretary at the above address on Saturday the 10th December at 8,30 p,m, Weights will be declared on Saturday, the 17th December, Acceptances for Handiaps will close on Saturday tho 24th Docember at 8,30 p.m, Entries for Scratch Hack Race must be made within 30 minutes after the Hack Hurdle Race is ran. The winner of an advertised race of 50 sovs and over, after the declaration of weights to cany 71b extra in the F.R.C. Handicap. Hacks shall mean a horso which has never started for other than Hack Races; Hack Handicaps excepted, and is not now nominated for Derbys, Guineas, St Legcrs, Saplings or Oaks, Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent of the stakes All persons intending to withdraw horses are rcj quired to give notice in writing to the Secretary lmlf-an-hour More.tho official time of starting such race, Any person neglecting or rofusing,to comply with this rule shall pay a flue, to be imposed by tho Stewards, not oxeceding £2O, to the race fund, Owners aro particularly requested to observe this rule, .
