The well-known Clydesdale Stallion Prince Royal was bred by Mr D, McQueen. Smoaton, Victoria, and was imported by his present owner, Mr John McKcllor, Doyleston, Canterbury. Prince Royal is by Prince Charlie, who was imported by' Messrs J. and M. Mcintosh from Scotland, wterchegained?, Ist prizes. His dam Blosßom by Bothwell was also imported from Scotland. Prince Royal is a rich brown color, stands 10 hands and 3 iuches. showing great symmetry of form, with plenty of hair and bone of the best fashion. Prince Royal commenced his career as a prize taker at two years old, securing second place at Ballarat, and second at Smeaton, where he was only beaten by Darwin, the winner of the Sires' Produce Stakes of £lO.
