DROWNING AT AKITEO.

Constable Collerton of Tiuui has forwarded the following particulars, to Inspector Browne of th? drowning of a man named Prank Lbwib in the Akiteo river on Monday the 3rd inst. .The fatality occurred within about eight miles of the mouth of the river. .. It appears that deceased had breakfast at Harvey's station on Monday morning, and was advised to 'continue tho.journey on which he was engaged, on the opposite side of the river. A man named Abbott pointed out to him a suitable crossing, and he-was seen to ri(Je- .towards the river.
