Doctor. Charleton, a fresh arrival from the Old Country, is at present at Tinui, and it is reported that he is willing to settle here 'should sufficient inducements offer. If bo the residents ought to bestir themselves and secure his services, for the district is greatly in need of a resident medical man. •

The weather hero this spriug has been most unpleasant, very wet and cold, Grass is very backward in growth, and fat'stock very scarce and difficult to obtain for local consumption.
