Prince Royal is by Prince Charlie, who was imported by Messrs J. and M. Mcintosh from Scotland, where he gained 7,lst prizes. His dam Blossom by Bothwell was also imported from Scotland. Prince Royal is a rich brown color, stands IB hands and 3 inches, showing great symmetry of form, with plcntyof hair and bone of the best fashion. Prince Royal commbneed his career as a prizo taker at two years old, securing, second placo at Marat, and second at Smcaton, where he was only beaten by Darwin,

the winner of the Sires' Produce Stakes of £lO. Since his arrival in this colony ho has always been a prize taker in every show yard where ho has been entered, At tho Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association's. Metropolitan Show of 1880, lin was awarded the Association Medal and tho President's Cup as the best draught stallion of any age on the ground. His stock, are now beginning to speak for themselves, notably Mr Stodikrt's colt Lord Boglim, who took first prize as a three year old at Ohristchurch'last year; Mr Pocock's Prince Victor; Mr J, Boag's Royal Prince; and Mr Todd's.colt Kelvin, all prizo takers, and many others too numerous to mention.
