NOMINATIONS. ■ The nomination of candidates for the • Masterton electorate took place at thy Mastertou Court House this day, k (Monday), about 300 persons being F present, : -when the following were nominated.— ' Mr G. Beetham, proposed by Mr ft. R. Welch, and seconded by Mi T. E. Chamberlain; Mr R. 8. Hawkins, pro posed by Mr 15, Meredith, seconded by -/Ml'J. HesseyjMr A. W. Hogg, proffebsed by Mr Holdawav, seconded by ™Mr Gardiner. The show of hands resulted as follows G. Beetham, 123; A. W. Hogg, 65 ; R S. Hawkins, 64. A poll was demanded by Mr Hawkins. (A full report of the proceedings will appear to-morrow) AEAROA. Nominations McGiegor, Armstrong, Joblin, Anson, Burnett, and Thaoker, The show of hands was in favor of McGregor. WAIPAWA. Nominations Harker, LascelleS. Button, and Tanner. Show of hands ®in favor of Barker. Poll demanded, DUNEDIN, Mount Ida; McKenzie and Owen Hodge.
