GOLD RUMOURS IN THE WAIKATO.

(Umted Press Association.) Auckland, September 12. A find-of rich Btone is reported from Maungatautori, beyond Cambridge. The stone was discovered by Messrs .O'Neill and Hall, of Hamilton, and an essay has been mado Auckland, reresulting ■in a yield of 3360z of gold and 16900z of silver per ton. Messrs Smith and Sandes have left Hamilton for the scene-of discovery, it being determined to prove the value of the stone taken by themselves from the reef.
