Annual Meeting,
The annual meeting of the above was held on Saturday last in the Farmers Clubyoom, Central Chambers. Pre- > sent—Messrs A. Johnston (President), , M. Caselberg, G. lieetham, T. E. , Cahinbprlain, E. Elkins W. H, Beetham, A, W. Hogg, D. Guild, \V. ' lores, and D. .Carman, The minutes of the previous meet- , ing were read and continued, after which the annual election of officers took place, resulting as follows Pre■ 'Bideut, M.r A. Johnston (reelected), vice (ncsideiit, Mr Bnick (re-elected), , General Committee, Messrs ,D. Guild, J. Hessey, F. Shaw, D. Carman T. , Chamberlaiu, W. 11. j)ee'tbam, T. ! Blatchford, and E, Meredith. .. The Socretary then read a statemont • of accounts us follows':-Receipts, • .£23 8b 7d; expenditure, £l7 Is; jjgasae's, £i6 17s 7d ; liabilities; £2B ®as Gd. .' The-President, refeiring'to the large . number of subscriptions outstanding .considered great negligence had been . . shown in the past through not having litem collected. Those members who were iu arrears, were not only in a position to pay, but would only be too glad to do so if asked. On the motion of Mr T. E. Chamberlaiiii tho Secretary was instructed to. write to all those in arrears for payment;. ' I&tfeply to ut member,- Mr Mackay stated that two animal subscriptions were now due, aud that there were, eighty, members on the roll. . . It was resolved that all outstanding . accounts against the Club be paid when funds were available, and that the Pt'esideut, in conjunction with the Secretary, be authorised to sign
deques. Mr Mackay was unaniaiously eloctod Secretary at a salary of £2O a year, f .tho aamo to cover expensos for uao of ' room, clerical work, <fcc, Mr W. Seller was also re-elected auditor. 1 MrUiselbsrg thought ib would-be advisable on the part of the Olub to come to BONO; definite understanding with the Masterton Pastoral and Agricultural Society as to the payment of an annual, rental -for the use of the room.
