FOUND DROWNED.

(Umm Press; Association.) ChrisiOhurch, August 2SI. The body of a ,nianj apparently drowned,' was found on the Waim'akarid river bank, near the outfall of Stewart's Gully. The body is supposed to be that of Henry Firmis, who suddenly left his homo at Kaiapoi on 21st May last and has not since been heard of. Ha wag supposed to have committed suicide from expressions he had made, and the police for some timo after made a diligent searoh of the river and banks, but without avail.
