FIRE IN AUCKLAND.

•■", Vi Auckland, August 30. . At four o'clock this morning a seven roomed' house in Woodward streot, Ponsonby, owned and occupied by Mr E. Woolfield, was burned down with the whole of the contents. Mr Woolfield was alone in the house, the family being away, and was aroused, when the fire was well advanced,'by people outßide, escaping with some difficulty. The house was insured fpr £SOO in the Norwioh ; Unipn,.the stable for £3O in the Equitable,and the.furniture for £l7O in the same office.
