The ordinary meeting of tbe'-Boavd. was held on Thursday, 25th insb., all. the meinberß being present.--'..Tho minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. -The Treasurer reported balance inJßank 4188.4s Bd, and balance available for future expenditure £213 15s 4d;' The.'report of the Clerk of Works' was read and adopted. Accounts amounting to £45 7s 7d wore examined and passed : , for payment, Letlors were read from tho County Clerk re sbippnig aite,.&c., at Mataikuna; From same re expending a small sum on repairs to the road from the beach to the station at Mataikuna. From Castlepoint Eoad Board, re County charges for surveys, riot rendered when accounts wore agreed to. From same, re opening Tinui valley roads An approximate.estimate of-receipts and expenditure was .laid, before the meeting and adopted. Resolved.—That a portion of rates be; expended in improving the; iigbt of way over "the Limestone Hill. That, application be made to the Council that this Board assume the control of the main road. That Mr Jepsonbo allowed a. further extension .-.of tinJe: until the 18th September in which,to; 'complete the office. That the Clerk of Works.be instructed to interview'Mr Williams on the matter of b' shipping placo at Mataikuna oh behalf of tho County Council..: That.the Board expend Five Pounds, iuoonjunotipn with the Council as proposed in clearing slips and effecting repairs to, the road from the Beaoh to the station..
