His Worship said it was certainly a .hard case, but ho had nothing to do but to administer the law. He would, however, be as lenient as possible. Ho thought it a serious matter that tho t public convenience should suffer through these by-laws, and he hoped Mr Macara would not discontimw his coaches through tho Bush. He regretted that tho Comity by-laws were enforced now, seeing they would that arrangements could be mado wjßthe County Council in tho direction sought by Mr Macara. Mr I<\ G. Moore, County Clerk, said that tho mails could bo carried in a buggy, but that Mr Macara was ÜBing heavy coaches in the work for the purpose of carrying passengers.
