Tho reduction of tho houorarium, and ot the number of members of both HoilflCK, The completion of the railway to Palmorston, and the construction of the lino to Auckland, and tho extension oftho line from Eketahura' to Pahiatua. The opening up of Crown lauds, and tho acquisition of Nativo Lands for settlement The.cessation of borrowing except for the works mentioned, until the finances of tho colony havo been placed on a sound footing. Tho amendment of the Laud Act, by tho repeal of tho Perpetual Leasing system, and by giving greater facilities for selectors to take up Deferred Payment Lands. The repeal of Property Tax and the introduction of a Land and Income Tax. The amendment of the Education Reserves Act to enable the Government to use the revenue from tho Reserves for Secondary Education for the purpose of Primary Education.
