Whangaroa, and Whangarei, guided by several settlers.from Kohukohu, the party being under Inspector'McGovern, are proceeding to the Waihau camp, for the purpose of arresting Hau Hau natives of the Kaitangatai tribe, whose recent •behaviour has created some alarm,

The police wore compelled to use their revolvers to prevent serious loss of life, and one fanatic, Erueru Kapana, is severely wounded, Some of the police have nasty cuts and wounds.
