'.From Treasury requesting lobe informed if the provisions of Section 121 " Road Boaids Act, 1882," had been con: plied with in taking steps to fisothe loans ucder the "Loans to p\ Bodies, 1886." From College-'Trustees intimating that Sections 28 and 29, Block XI, • Maugaoue, have been leased to Arthur Birling. From Land Board approving of proposals for expenditure df thirds, subject to the consent of selectors of Sections 26 and 27, B XI, Mangaono, is obtained.—Resolved that tenders be called for the approved proposals, to close on the 26tb hist. From the Supreme Court Registrar fllaling that a more formal guarantee j& necessary from the Board before he mn take definite action against the School Commissioners ami absentee owuers for rates, under certificates of judgments.—Resolved to pass the necessary resolution and grant guarantee. From MrGawitli.in reference to a road through Mr Phillips' land. Resolved to inform Mr Gawith that there is no intention to take ft further road , through said land, and that ihis Board has taken r.o road through the sections 1 ' named. "A special order was passed, dissolvitt"J.be present Board and arranging elections, rendered necessary by'the subdivision of the district. Also a Special order providing for future elections to bo conducted under the provision of section 49 of the "Road Boards' A'& 1882." Notice was given cf the intention, at a meeting to be Held on the 26th current, to make or JrVy a general rate of one half-penny qßtfrthe £\ on all rateable property the district. It was proposed la submit for the approval of the Laud Board the expenditure'of .£5 4s 8s in continuation of present works on the 'fawnfata 'road. A sum of U was voted for expenditure on the lhauaua valley road, in erecting a rough bridge, and opening a bridlo track. Accounts as per payuieut sheet, amounting to £23 os 5d were passed, The next meeting was fixed for the 26th current, and the Board adjourned
