There are three candidates for the Woodville district, viz., Messrs McCardle, Smith and Horace Baker. We have a strong, personal liking for Mr McCardle, but we cannot ignore the consideration that he and Mr Smith are supporters of the present corrupt extravagant and imprudout administration, so that the interests of the colony require the return of Mr Horace Baker. IHs gratifying to us to learn that Mr Horace Baker possesses character, 1 ability and experience and is well fitted for the position he is seeking. We hope to see Mr Horace. Baker fighting side'by side and shoulder to shoulder with: Messrs Beotham and Buchanan in the new parliament.
