DEATH OF A CELEBRATED ATHLETE.
(United Press Asaociation.) Chbistchukch, This day, W. V. Milton, Secretary of the Canterbury Rugby Urion, died last night aged 29. He had been ill for several weeks with typhoid fever. He was captain of the United Canterbury Cricket Club and of the Canterbury eleven, and led the victorious New Zealand football team which visited Sydney some years back.
