A WOMAN FROM AUSTRIA.
' Kear the village of Zillingdorf, in Lower Außtria, lives Maria Haas, an - : intolligent and industrious woman, whose itory of physical suffering and final relief, as related by horsolf, is of interest . "to English women, " I was employed," »ho sayo, "in the work of a largo farmhouse. Overwork brought on sick headache, followed by a deathly fainting and • tickncss of the stomach, until 1 was unibleto retain either food or drink. I was compelled to tako my bed for several .."•weeks. Getting a little better from rest .and quiet, 1 sought to do some work, but ■ yras soon taken with a pain in my Bide, which, in a little while, seemed to spread .-■■•■ over my wholo body, and throbbed in my ■ every limb. This was followed by a cough and shortness of breath, until 'finally 1 could not sow, and I took to my . .bed for a second, and, as 1 thought, for a hat time. Myfiicnda told mo that ray i time had nearly come, and that 1 could A- not live longer than when the trocs put •n their gteen once moro. Then I hap\poued to get one of tho Seigel pamphlets. ■ tifcad it, and mj dear mother bought mo of Seigol's Syrup, which I took exactly according to directions, audi had not . taken the wholo of it bofore I felt a great .'change for tho better. My Inst illness began June 3id, 1882, and continued to . August 9th, whon I began to tako the Syrup. Very soon I could do, some . little light work. The cough left me and ■ I was; no moro troubled in breathing. Now 1 am perfectly cured. And, oh, how •happy I am! 1 cannot express gratitude enough for Soisjel's Syrup. Now I must toll you that the doctors in our district ■'• distributed handbills cautioning people •gainst tho medicine, tollini' them that it would do them no good, and many were t.i.icby influenced to destroy the Siege pamphlets; but now wherever one is to be got, it is kept liko a relic. • The few - preserved aro borrowed to road, and 1 . have lent mine for six miles around our
.■ district. People havo como eighteen mile* to get me to buy the medicine for ■them, knowing that it cured me, and, to be euro to get the i:r;ht kind. 1 know a. . ffomanwhowaslookinglikedeath, audwho . told'thorn thero wag no help for her, and tliat she had consisted several doctors, but 4 none could help her. I told her of Siege's *p and write the name down for her. she might raako no mistake. She took ~.,uiy advico and the Syrup, aud now blio is in perfect health, and the people, around us are amazed. Tho medicino has- made such progress in our neighborhood that people say they duu'fc want tho doctor any wore, but they take the Syrup. Sufforera from pout who were confiued to thoirbed Bnd.-could hardly move a finger, have leen cured by it. There is a girl in.pur - district who caught a cold by'going .through somo water, and was in bed r.fo •years with costivoness aud rheumatic pains, and had to havo an attendant to . watch by her. Thero was not a doctor in jtho surrounding districts to whom her ,- mother had not applied to relievo, her . child, but every one crosned themselves, ~ and said thoy could not help her. Whenever the littlo bell rang which is rung in our place whon somebody is dead, wo' •thoughtsurely it was for her, but Seigol's Byrup and Pills saved hor lifo, and now •:' she is as healthy as anybody, goes to church, and can work oven in tho holds. •Everybody was astonished when they saw her out, knowing how many years she ...hid been in bed. To-day she adds her /gratitude to mino for God's mercies and • Beigel's Syrup. Mary Haas, • Tho people of England speak confirming the above. AFTER MAXY YEARS.
