At tho meeting of the Hospital Timtecs yesterday, tlio Rev. W. E. Paigo raised the question as to whether the representatives of the Borough and County Councils could act as Trustees unless tlieso bodies contributed, and quoted clause 7 section 5 of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Act, which runs as follows:—'• Any local authority ceasing for twelve months to contribute to the funds of a separate institution shall lose its right to elect or vote in the election of Trustees." The matter received considerable discussion, but 110 definite action was taken.
