WAIRARAPA POULTRY, PIGEON AND CANARY ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the above Association was lielil last evening at the Club Hotel, Mi' T, Parsons in tho chair. The Treasurers presented the balance sheet for the past'? year, which was adopted, tho receipt. l }' being £79 8s 8d and expenditure 176 19s 9d. The expenditure included a grant of £ls towards the Masterton Volunteer Drill Hall,'which gives tho-Association free use of the building for shows. The election of ofaccrs for the ensuing year resulted as fellows: President, Mr H. H. .Beefcham (re-elected); Vice-Presi-dent, Mr T, Parsons (re-elected); Committee, Messrs 11 Bright, jun., W. G. King, ■!. Billington, T. Dixon,' A. Elkins, L, J, Hooper, D, S. Papworth, and ?'[. Wilton; Hon. Secretary and Trciisurer, Mr W. McKenzie (re-elected). The secretary reported that the-President-had offered a five guinea cup for competition, or the Association could allot the sum as it thought .best. It was decided that the best interests of the Association would be met by offering a guinea ! prize - : 'for five breeds instead of the one* prize, and the 'Secretary was instructed to write and inform the President of the decision of the members.'. The Secretary was instructed to write to Messrs A. A. White, A. Walker, and B, Boys and ascertain if those gentlemen would officiate as judges at the forthcoming show. A programme similar to last year's was submitted and adopted. It was resolved that ■ tho annual sub-

soription be the same as the previous years. That the show be held on Tuesday and 'Wednesday, July 26 and 27. That entries close on Saturday, 28rd July, and that a member's ticket admit member and lady to the Association shows.
