May 27.! y Fifty-six bodies have so far been recovered from the ruins of the Opera Comique, aud it ia'fearfd that more remain to be recovered. London, 27th May. ; ■ Eighty dead bodies have been recovered from the ruins of the Opera Comique. Many of those injured were women of fashionand : ballet girls. Tiie audience were leaving the building quietly until the smoke made its appearance, when a terrible panic ensued. Many were trampled to deaJth on the stairs, while others were burned -to death or suffocated. M. de Fraycinet, yielding to M. Henri Kochefprt's .terrorism, has resolved to retain General Boulanger as Minister of War. In consequence of this the Modsrale putty have refused to support him, and a dissolution is regarded as inevitable. Street noting is feared in connection with the present crisis. The Emperor of & ustria, in his re-' cent speech at the opening of the Hungarian Parliament, referred to tho good relation existing with nil the Powers. A ut leasee issued by tha Czar, forbidding foreigners to acquire or inherit land in Poland, has caused much excitement in Austria. New York, May 27, A fire occurred last night ut the Tram Car Stables in this city, and fully IGOO horses perished in the fliimea. Tho buildings were completely gutted. Ottawa, May 27. An immense popular demonstration has taken place hero in fnvor of tho Governor General, (the Matquiß of Lamidoivn), the Roman Catholics taking a prominent part in the proceedingH.
