The Wairarapa Daily. FRIDAY, MAY 6, 1887.
The Premier lias withdrawn the Representation Bill. The farce has apparently proceeded far enough. A reduction of the numerical strength of the House has been carried by the assistance of some monibers who merely desired to please their constituents, and who voted for it in the expectation of the bill being killed. As the House would not kill the bill, the Premier has ripped it up. The country has simply been humbugged over this measure.
