It is not generally known that Mr Ivey, director of the school of agriculture, Lincoln, has kindly offered to test as to purity arid'percentage of growth, any seeds which settlers may send him, arid a report upon the same in the New Zealand Country Journal. As it is a matter of the first importance that only the best seeds should be sown, more especially in grassing bush lands, andwewouldrecommendsettlerstotake advantage of this "offer and send a fair sample, say about 400 seeds of each variety, so that they will know exactly the value of their seed, and if it should prove unsatisfactory be prepared to changeit.. ____'■
